The Anniversary of the State Sovereignty of Russia





The obverse:
in the center - the view of the Cupolas of the Cathedral of Interession on the Moat and the Saviour's Tower, above it to the left - the two-headed eagle, under it to the right - the mint trademark. The inscriptions along the rim: at the top — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA), at the bottom in tree lines — "1 РУБЛЬ" "1992" (1 RUBLE 1992).





The reverse:
the sculptured figure of the Goddess of Victory with wreath in her hands against the background of the House of the Russian Federation Parlament in Moscow. 1991. The inscriptions along the rim: "СУВЕРЕНИТЕТ" (SOVEREIGNTY), "ДЕМОКРАТИЯ" (DEMOCRACY), "ВОЗРОЖДЕНИЕ" (REVITAL) separated by laurel branches.

In June 12, 1990 "The Declaration on State Sovereignty of Russia" was adopted by the deputies of the Russian Federation. It laid the foundation to a hard progress towards acquiring new political role by Russian as independed and equal member of the international community of states.
